2nd
International Conference on Global
Challenges in Neglected Tropical DiseasesJune 25-27, 2018, The
Condado Plaza Hilton, San Juan, Puerto Rico
Thank You All For A
Great Success!
The Colegio de Químicos de Puerto Rico and the
GCNTD 2018 Organizing Committee will like to
thank all the speakers, presenters, student and
participants for what resulted in a very
productive and wonderful experience. The
scientific content was excellent and all the
data, shared experiences, special initiatives
and ongoing efforts gave us an outstanding
overview of many of the different areas
encompassing neglected tropical diseases. We are
sure that on the immediate benefits from the
congress will be the establishment of new
collaborations and more synergistic initiatives.
The second International Conference on Neglected
Tropical Diseases
(GCNTD 2018) was held at San Juan, Puerto Rico
on June 25 to 27, 2018. The theme of conference
was:
"United to eradicate the
global threat of Neglected Tropical
Diseases"
The aim of this
International event was to bring participants
from North, Central and South America together,
as well as from other regions where tropical
diseases are prevalent, to discuss new
approaches to combat neglected tropical
diseases. Another purpose was to elevate the
awareness of neglected tropical diseases,
particularly in Latin America, as well as to
stimulate medicinal chemists in these countries
to conduct research in the field by making
contacts between laboratories in America and
other parts of the world. With the latter in
mind, one on one meetings between participants
was fostered.
